Important: Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using The Printer App. By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Acme Factory Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding The Printer App software, website, licensing, and related services.
The Printer App v2 is a Windows desktop application for arranging images into printable layouts, making lightweight image adjustments, printing, and exporting layouts to PDF.
The current commercial product uses one full-feature paid license. It is sold as a one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription. On an eligible Device, the optional seven-day trial is the full app: every feature is unlocked and available during the normal trial period. The trial begins only when the user explicitly chooses Start Free 7-Day Trial. Installing or opening the Software, entering a license key, or closing the startup screen does not itself start the trial. Starting a new trial requires a brief internet connection so the licensing service can register the canonical trial start time.
Trial eligibility and timing are enforced by the licensing service. A Device that has previously activated a paid license is not treated as a brand-new trial Device merely because that paid license is later deactivated or removed. If a trial began before paid activation, its original start time is preserved; after deactivation, only any unused portion of that same trial may resume, and an expired trial remains expired.
Promotional prices may be presented during an eligible trial based on the server-recorded trial timing. A promotional price changes only the transaction price; it does not create a different feature edition or license entitlement.
The current 50-page maximum per project is a technical stability boundary, not a licensing tier or paid upgrade boundary.
Subject to these Terms, the EULA, applicable law, and a valid paid license, Acme Factory Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
Existing v2 paid capabilities will not be removed from existing v2 licensees merely to create a future paid feature tier. A future separately named or major-version product may have a separate commercial model.
You are responsible for the images and other content you process with The Printer App and for having any rights or permissions required to use, print, or distribute that content.
You agree to use the Software and related services lawfully and not to bypass licensing, security, or access controls.
The Printer App software, code, graphics, user interface, documentation, trademarks, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Acme Factory Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of your own photos and other content.
The Printer App processes photo contents locally on your computer and does not upload your photos to our licensing service. The Software uses network access for defined operations including new-trial registration, secure trial-offer authorization, paid-license activation, periodic validation, and deactivation. Purchase actions may open the official The Printer App checkout in your web browser, where Paddle handles the transaction as Merchant of Record. See our Privacy Policy for details about the limited data used for these operations.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOFTWARE AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free or that physical print output will exactly match an on-screen preview. Printer hardware, drivers, paper, ink, source images, and settings can affect physical output.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ACME FACTORY INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SOFTWARE OR RELATED SERVICES.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software license. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Acme Factory Inc. and its representatives from claims arising from your unlawful use of the Software, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.
The Printer App v2 is currently sold under one full-feature, one-time paid license. The price displayed before purchase is the price for that transaction. Eligible trial-timed promotional offers may change the price without changing the license entitlement. Promotional checkout authorization is verified by the licensing service; a browser URL or displayed price by itself does not create a license entitlement.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles order-related customer service, payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, and returns/refunds under its applicable buyer terms and refund policy. Acme Factory Inc. remains the product licensor and provides product-specific technical and licensing support for The Printer App.
See our Refund Policy for our product-specific refund information and links to Paddle Buyer Support. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply where required by law.
All updates released as The Printer App v2.x are included with a valid v2 paid license. We may improve, fix, secure, or modernize the Software while preserving the v2 product contract.
A future separately named or major-version product may be licensed separately if we later choose to create one. That future decision does not revoke the perpetual v2 rights of an existing v2 licensee or retroactively turn existing v2 capabilities into a paid upgrade tier.
License rights may be terminated for a material breach of these Terms or the EULA, subject to any protections required by applicable law. Fraudulent, refunded, reversed, or invalid transactions may also affect the associated license as permitted by applicable law and applicable transaction terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to mandatory rights that apply based on your location.
Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to submit a dispute to arbitration or another dispute-resolution process. After a dispute arises, the parties may agree to mediation, arbitration, or another dispute-resolution process where permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer right or remedy.
If a provision is held unenforceable or invalid, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary where permitted, and the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.
These Terms, together with our EULA, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the agreement between you and Acme Factory Inc. regarding The Printer App, subject to separate Paddle buyer terms that apply to a transaction processed by Paddle.
